This is big!

Wiooo!! Wiooo!! Wiooo!! The sirens are loud. I just found out that I got accepted to my first hand choice when it comes to education this fall. Teacher in Swedish for immigrants at the Univeristy of Uppsala. 5 1/2 years fro now I´ll graduate. I don´t think there´s someone in the whole wide world who´s happier than me right now.

I think my neightbours already have made the call for the men in the car with sirens and with a white longsleeved shirt for me, but who gives a shit a day like this?!

This calls for a salubration!!

Wiooo!! Wiooo!! Wiooo!!

You can´t imagine what it feels like when a woman got a cold

This is bad! This is really really really bad!!

This morning I woke up with a fever, a soar throat, head stuffed with unrefined cotton wool and a nose that feels like it´s been cleaned on the inside with Klorin = no mucosae what so ever. In other words, I got a bad, bad cold. Poor me!!

I crawled out of bed, managed to throw a delayed Birthday-party for my daughter with some of our relatives, I even participated in some outdoor-games. Should never had done that, I feel like I´ve been runed through a stonecrusher.

So I´ve been in horisontal mode on the sofa for an hour now and been whining about how I feel. Then it strucked me! OMG!! Have I become a man?! Whining, felling poor over myself, looking for someone to feel sorry for me and for someone to do a little nursering... that´s what men do, not women. We´re the ones nursering.

But one good thing has come out of this world disaster, I did score better than ever in Lips. Good!

Now I´m gonna compose an advertisement for a male nurse/doctor/chef that can take care of me. I don´t have the strenght to put on some make up, to eat chocolate, to watch TV... I don´t even have the strenght to game anymore. Poor me! Poor poor me!!

In Sweden we got this TV-advertise about medicine for people how catch the cold. It´s a man in his never-been-washed-undershirt, with his head over a bucket of boiling water and he whines about: "You women talks about giving birth, you should now how it feels when a man has the cold". I´ve been mocking that man for some time now... Never again!! Now I totally understand what he talks about. Giving birth... Piece of cake!!!

Kid for sale

Sometimes I just don´t understand my eldest son. Quite often when I think about it actually. Anyway...

I went to the fantastic hairdresser Malin earlier today to let her cut my hair. The first time in 1.3 year, so it was about time. 50 minutes later I was really pleased with the result, Malin was also pleased, just as my two youngest and my Dad.

A couple of hours later my eldest son saw the new hairdo on a picture on FB. His first comment was (and this I just can´t translate to English): "Mamma har hockeyfrilla". Well, thanks!! =(

And then he told me it looked like the haircut that was supposed to be on a 17 year old, not his Mam and that he thought I should go and buy me some curlers, you know, those pink things old ladies got in their grey hair to be pretty when they go out and buy their Friday dinner steak.

I don´t know, is it really so bad and missplaced? Maybe I should buy me a hat instead or just shave the whole shit off?

Poor kid, maybe I shouldn´t go outside the house at all when I think about it. For a couple of years ago, he proposed that I should buy a tie blouse and corrugated shirt instead of jeans and top. I just wonder, what is it with sons and their Mams? Do they never cut their umbilical cord?!

I think he needs a girlfriend, really really bad. At least I know that I need him to have one!

How is it in your familys?

Sunday and I got one of those rare mornings, when I can sleep as long as I want to. Well, nearly anyway. My daughter, who´s going to a Birthday party for one of her friends at 1 p.m, came in to my room at 8 and wondered if it wasn´t time for me to go to the store and buy a gift. Aaaah, I don´t think so! Not at that unholy time, anyway.

Looks like it´s gonna be a perfect day, if you just think of the weather aspect. Allready quite warm and the sun shows it self from it´s best side. This is my last day of the spring semester and it feels SO good, even though I got a shitload of studying left to do today. I probably will have to sit until midnight, when it´s do-time, but I don´t care. It´s the last day! Tomorrow my first year at the university is over and I made it. Wohooo!!

Some of my friends, who are about the same age as I am, thinks that we´re an odd family because we´re all gamers. Me, the eldest son, the youngest son and my daughter. Only the crazy cat that doesn´t fit in, but he´s so odd in his own way, that it doesn´t matter.

Is that so rear? A family where everyone are using a console a couple of times a week? I din´t think it was. We play together, by ourselves, we have our own favorite games, we enjoy to compete with each other and so on. So my question is, how is it in your familys?

In about a month from now, I´m gonna find out if I got accepted to the teachereducation at the University of Uppsala. Exciting!! I really, really, really do hope so!

Just to be on the safe side, when it comes to "not have to study any longer at the school and education I go to right now", I´ve applied to some different schools. In no.1-6 it´s different teacher educations in Uppsala, then there are 2 classes where you become a therapist, no.9 and 10 are classes when you get a diploma as a social worker, then it´s a webmaster education, no.12 is a education where you become a geography teacher and the last ones are two courses in the education I`m in right now. The shortest education is 2 years and the longest, no.1-6 and the social worker-education, are 5 1/2 years. Puh!!

Well, off to the biologybooks for the last time hopefully! =) Have a nice Sunday!!
